After Christmas I will be looking for a record cutter, record lathe, etc. Something to start with, preferably under $300, mono or stereo it doesn't matter, just as long as I can interchange new needles and it works or can be fixed with some simple electronic work. My dad has worked on guitars and amps for 30+ years so I think we could get something to work if it's a rather simple fix..

Anyways PM me if you have anything for sale. I really want to get a lathe I can start cutting with next year!

ps. I think I may have solved the vinyl-supply question. Casting blank 7" with liquid plastics would cost roughly 1 dollar apiece, and I've discovered that as long as the material has a shore hardness of close to 80D it will have the performance of a commercially produced vinyl record.
