Neumann VSM80 Record Cutting Lathe with VG 74 B Amp Rack

This Neumann VSM-80 was originally bought brand new by the Legendary Townhouse Studios in 1982.
Originally maintained by the highly regarded Neumann expert Werner Wahl, the lathe is currently maintained by Sean Davies,
who is considered by many to be the ultimate lathe expert.

In 2008 when Townhouse closed the whole of the mastering department, along with the lathe, relocated to The Pierce Rooms, London.

The lathe has only ever been moved once and is in immaculate working condition and completely original, probably the finest example you are likely to see.
The accompanying SAL Amp Rack is the VG 74B.

Hey all
I have inquired this sale
Nice machine
But converted to run an SX 74 head and no DMM head for it what a pitty
I can understand the reasoning behind such a move
I wonder whatever happened to the head
It would certainly being a great addtion and neighbour to any non DMM machine
Such is Life
Cheers
