Most professional cutters do not use the transfer console. There are many other options that are not prone to the issues that have been discussed here a few times.

Good luck on your search. Not a lot for sale right now. I was aware of a VMS-66 in the USA that is/was for sale.

That lathe and those presses were sold again over a year ago. Those photos are over five years old. He shouldn't part with his hard-earned money before seeing this gear.

Most professional cutters wouldn't be able to find a console like this but yes, there are many other ways to deal with mastering in a digital world.

This console is only really necessary if you are cutting from analogue tapes or yuo are a completist.

I'm looking for an SP79 console as well so if anyone stumbles across one, pelase let me know too. Thanks.

Since there was no word of it posted here I thought it was too good to be true. I'll give him a heads up

Pro audio europe had a load of modules from the console for sale on ebay the other day, ended now but wasn't sold, so may get relisted, but I don't know what was missing from them, as I have no idea what should be there - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350546595648?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
