I'm a lucky one ))
I'm always wondering about it, and now so close to cut my own record ))

About this overhead - description tells that this is RH-5, but I'm guest it's not true (
Can you help me to identify this head? So I can to start finding right amp...

I may have been mistaken in the first post, but you can probably follow the same technical details without being too far off (Considering it does look exactly like an M-41 with a new paint job). If it's an 8-ohm head, don't push it past 3-4 volts. If it's 500-ohm, 30-40 volts.

Lots of the Trolls here swear by adding a 1Amp fuse to the circuit, just for safety's sake. Better to blow through several fuses than several coils!

Is a 1 amp a standard precaution regardless of the head type? I haven't done it yet but will asap.

Either 1A or 1/2A, depending on how hard you're pushing and the robustness of the head. That seems to be the standard for most semi-pro and home recording heads.
