I can remember, tho --
My grandfather had one of those vintage portable cutters with the radio built-in, and he used to go thru tons of those Recordio/Wilcox-Gay discs recording his favorite radio programs from back in the 1940's...
I used to listen to them as a kid, and that's why I have a love for classic radio programs (AND cutting lathes) today.
(The sad part to all of this is -- I was in college the day they had Grampa's estate sale, and I have no idea whatever happened to his record collection....)
