Re: VMS70/66 parts WANTED
I could build you a monitor sections. I just went through and recapped mine. I always had a hum/buzz on my PU (pickup) setting. It was a leaky cap on one of the NE5534AN chips that forms the phono preamp section. So, I'm pretty familiar with the board now. I just ordered a bunch of 41617 31 pin connectors. So, I'll be able to make my own cards as well as extender cards/cable for debugging modules while running outside of the rack.

Re: VMS70/66 parts WANTED
Hi opcode,
I also have a hum/ buzz in the PU setting. I'm using an external phono preamp right now, but would like repair the monitor section.
If replacing components doesn't solve it, I would consider replacing cards.

Try replacing the 10n caps first. I can tell you the numbers later. They are in the +/-15v lines going to the ne5534 chips. You can also upgrade the chips themselves. Tone out the jack and your cable to insure no shorts. Finally, connect the tonearm ground to the shield of wither channel (tip center pin on jack panel of amp).
