Bob Morrison's book, DISK RECORDING 1930-1960
I have three NOS copies of Bob's historical and anecdotal book on disc recording during its 'golden age.' If you aren't familiar with this book, it has numerous photos and illustrations, with entertaining text covering our hobby/livelihood at a time when it was constantly evolving and the most fun for a lot of us. The book contains information on many lesser-known players in disc recording technology, and is a wonderful read, penned by a man with a lot of experience in, and love for, this industry.
Bob published this book in 2005, shortly before his death. There was a good-size press run, but the fellow responsible for the book's marketing and distribution, himself, died in 2013, and no trace of unsold stock can be located.
Another friend of Bob's and I are negotiating to have this important and entertaining work reprinted, most probably in some e-book format to keep the cost down. More about that as the project advances (or not!).
Anyway, the three copies I have are available immediately at $15 each, plus $3 for shipping to US destinations via USPS Media Mail. All proceeds from the sale of these bound copies, as well as from subsequent digital ones (if it happens) go directly to Pat Morrison, Bob's widow. Contact me through the messaging utility on this site; I'll respond quickly.
