After so much interest was shown in my post at http://www.lathetrolls.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6701&p=43348&hilit=mastering+for+records#p43348 I searched for the event mentioned there that appeared in Studio Sound a few months after we setup our disc cutting facility in 1978. I found the very useful SS archive website which allowed me to copy the article.

For anyone who would like to know more, I made a pdf of the text of the SS article (Studio Diary of March 1979) that you can see at http://www.snugglebugs.eu/documents/Crystal-Clear.pdf. There is an old photo of our place showing the ex-Paris Scully with EMI transfer console but the Westrex units are out of shot.

Sorting out some old stuff I found that I still have my copies of the double album that was released. One set I played myself, but the other set is pristine and still in the sealed wrappers. The sealed set I think I will sell on eBay. But before I do, if anyone here wants them, I think a fair price would be $ 100 USD, or £ 85 GBP, plus post/packing. The records are Gould conducts Gould and Walter Susskind conducting.....
