AES Journal: Motional Feedback Disk Recording System Design

For the first time in many years, the November 2018 issue of the Journal of the Audio Engineering Society (JAES Volume 66 Issue 11) includes an article pertaining to disk recording technology!

My engineering report, titled "An Investigation of Motional Feedback Disk Recording System Design", was accepted for publication following the usual peer review process, and is finally available in print or online through the AES e-library:

Hey, congratulations to your publication in AES!
I'm sure you're very proud of it!

Maybe also a reason for me to join the AES (or maybe ask for a free copy of that paper here :D )
But honestly, all of the theory was already made (and patented) in the 1920s...so 100years late :lol:

Lukas, thank you. I can assure you that a lot has happened since the 1920's. My paper is not a repetition of what is already known, but a documentation of the latest developments and a presentation of the current state of the art, especially regarding cutting amplifier design, system measurement, and so on.

I have been super busy with some urgent repair work and a couple of restoration projects, but will present some progress on the new head in due course!
