I have the opportunity to buy a Neumann sx68 cutterhead in good working condition.
Can you tell me a fair purchase price?

i can normally organize always something in the 8-12k range. sx68,sx74
completely refurbished.with test cut, freq charts and checkout report.
internally new all springs. coils done. new torque tube, v-spring
so they are all like brand new sx74's as only the frame and magnets stay same.
its mostly the cosmetic condition that gives the difference.
a complete revision is around 4k which is sooner or later necessary, specially if head comes from unknown source.
a new dialba head is 9k in the aluminium body version.
best if you dont have to swap (but if you do you need just to adjust the spring in a neumann suspension box)
and 12k in heavy brass version (same weight as sx68/74) so easy to swap.
