Here are some test tone I made for all of yous..

It's a zip archive, inside are 4 test tones in wav format (16bit/44.1K).
These should help with calibration.

1. Sine wave sweeping up from 1Khz to 10Khz - 1 minute 40 seconds duration

2. Sine wave sweeping down from 1Khz to 50Hz - 1 minute 40 seconds duration

3. Pink Noise - 1 minute 40 seconds duration

4. White Noise - 1 minute 40 seconds duration

I have written these files on a cd, many interesting, but which is the function of these frequences ?
What can I calibrate ?

use these to set your EQ... Cut them to record, and play back through an osciloscope, or frequency analyzer. Compare with the ones on the cd, and make adjustments until they are very close to matching.

no, send these through the riaa curve.

Playback the tones on acetate through a turntable hooked up to a turntable preamp. compare the tones (on disc with inverse riaa, then through riaa premap) to the originals (no riaa). They should be about the same. if not, adjust the EQ until they are the same..

These are the tones mentioned in the article above..

this process can take very many cuts..
