looking for info upon mystery [to me] lathe

A spot for keeping track of especially cool (informative, fun) videos, photos, scans and other links about record cutting. (You can post them in other sections. Eventually they may end up here.) NOTE: Please put *Circuits, Schematics and Manuals* in the section with that name.

Hmm, interesting machine. For me could be a Cecil Watt, or Mss. The cutting head could be a Neumann R12B, perhaps...

BBC Type C record cutter
The Head may be an "Type A" which was a Neumann clone. Later Model "Type B" Cutter was the prototype for the famous Grampians (B1, B1/D, C, D)...

THANX TROLLS!!!

I Thought it a type C ov some sort (as I named file) yet didn't know who was the manufacturer.

I had found waaay toooooo many things with searching just "type C".

I had suspensions it was British.
Thnx soooo much for the wonderful info. I can now search easier to find more info upon its design & more notably the patents.

Cheers

p.s. dubcutter, thnx for the link. I think that is were i lifted the image, many moons ago. wonderful to find that now too. :)
Cheers,
recordboy
