Old RCA book with Scully lathe.

A spot for keeping track of especially cool (informative, fun) videos, photos, scans and other links about record cutting. (You can post them in other sections. Eventually they may end up here.) NOTE: Please put *Circuits, Schematics and Manuals* in the section with that name.

A nice old book from RCA. Some pages about the old Scully's with a drawing, and some instructions, you'll find this a little bit further than halfway trough the book.

That is an AWESOME book!

I'm something of a junkie when it comes to engineering history, and the more details the better. I know I'll be spending many a happy hour studying it.

Thank you! -- KtG

I wonder - was the Scully shown in that manual the post-1938 Model 501, or was it one of the 20 lathes the company built for Victor between 1934 and 1937? (And if so, what would that model number have been?)

[Timeline of building based on 1956 High Fidelity magazine article referred to in other threads.]
