Great find. Old closed down pressing plant with manual presses (real manual presses - open/close the steam valve, water valve etc via hand lever, no timers here).

Three presses (Finebilt????) one was used to press 78s and 33s the other two used for 45s. Their largest ever order was for 1,000 copies. Note the vinyl biscuits (flat sheets of vinyl) - three per sheet. These were heated on the steam table, turned over with a spatula for even heating, then folded and pressed.

The flash goes straight into the granulator between the presses and the re-grind, he says, is sent off to make biscuits. How noisy would that be?

I'm guessing the place has been cleaned out by now. What I'd give for even a manual setup like that...
