Mysterious ancient lathe...Can you identify?

A spot for keeping track of especially cool (informative, fun) videos, photos, scans and other links about record cutting. (You can post them in other sections. Eventually they may end up here.) NOTE: Please put *Circuits, Schematics and Manuals* in the section with that name.

One of our members, from Spain, sent me the photos of one of his lathes. I asked for his permission to post, but then I got impulsive and posted them without waiting for a reply. I'll add his username when I am sure he doesn't mind.

So....what is this thing? He seemed to think it was from the 1920s. I find that unlikely. It has what looks to me like an Astatic playback tonearm similar to my 1940s Recordio. I'm going to wager this is an early "home recording" unit. But I'm no expert, just guessing.
