REQUEST FOR THOSE WHO HAVE POSTED RECORD-PRODUCING-RELATED VIDEO(S) ON YOUTUBE:
If you own the rights to, or are the producer of, any of the following youtube videos, and you're reading this, then this is my request for you to LET ME KNOW IF YOU DO NOT WANT your video distributed in DVD form for "free" (cost of $1 materials + postage), to people interested in your products/services.
"Free" distribution of these vids on DVD serves 2 purposes:
(1) It's an advertisement for you and your services, since I noted the company names & country / location in text preceding each "chapter" on the dvd.
(2) Documentation of purveyors of a dying artform. (Videos on youtube come & go; some which I saved on this DVD, I already cannot find again on youtube; DVD is more permanent.)
(3) My purpose: I love vinyl and appreciate companies that play roles in producing it. This video might stimulate interest in vinyl, both among customers who buy it, and musicians who want to get it made. And let's face it... some claim demand is going up, but vinyl is a format which is fighting from disappearing, so it could use any help/publicity.
I found a way to download videos from youtube, sometimes in DVD-picture-quality (suprisingly enough), and made this compilation for my own long-term reference. I adjusted picture brightness, contrast, volume, etc, of all the clips, to broadcast video standards, and edited for content, removing extraneous parts not related to vinyl production. It came out so well, showed friends; now everyone wants one, especially those who want to get vinyl pressed/cut.
I want to give this away free to friends and musicians locally, and offer it to folks on the forum here (NOT on "online stores" like eBay or Amazon; this would be costing ME time) as a courtesy, for "supply costs" only. Which is, in continental USA, $3 for media rate postage + $1 for disc, blank, and envelope = $4 total in US, more for postage elsewhere.
This would be basically "free" distribution in the name of "free use" / "educational" purposes, and free advertising, I claim.
IF YOU WANT YOUR VIDEO REMOVED FROM THIS COMPILATION, please let me know via PM. I will wait a week before sending copies to anyone, and remove anything requested by the rights holder or producer. If no replies, I'll assume either the rights holders don't visit this forum, or if they do, they consent.
SOURCE MATERIAL: (edited down on DVD to just 1 hour total)

DVD is finished, contains the material described in first post, for the reasons described.
$1 US Dollar + shipping (total $4 in continental US), forum members only, limit 1 copy per person since I make no money. (I don't hold rights; if you want to make further copies for reasons noted in first post, that's up to you.)
PM me if want the DVD- specify NSTC or PAL format. (Motorino, sending yours.) PayPal, money order, or well-concealed US cash.
Have about 6 copies each format.
Fun to watch those records get cut & pressed on a widescreen.
