Im fairly new to this forum, Ive always wanted a machine to cut my own albums, I havent a clue about all the technicalities of anything on this thread but i have a good ear and the last cut sounds great.

Are you planning to sell these machines? If so how much will they roughly cost? Would they come with instructions and everything needed to cut for a novice like me?

I highly recommend these heads.

Will the lathe come with a cutting head and everything i need to cut? Ive had records cut with souris machine and always had good results, would you say the price and quality of yours will be similar?

Silicone, how much you paid for the Swiss head Caruso, you can not in any way get along with Flozki, he did not respond to any e-mail, how to talk to him? guy has a strange approach to the customer ....

Sukuszi, I think you misunderstood.
Flo was not offering you a VAB84 unit in that thread.
He did not address your post, he was saying that his 4 channel analog mastering processor was around 5k, depending on the options.

Flo provides great products and service!

After recently moving house I decided to ease myself back into things with a little cutterhead project.
Its name is "SMOKESTACK LIGHTNING", aka "The Fang", aka "Wobbly Tooth", aka.....

I built it yesterday, here are some snippets from the first cuts of this morning.

It is a very small, simple dynamic head with software iRIAA and Fabfilter Pro Q2 correction eq in Ableton- Mackie D2 interface dj mixer- DIY mono block power amps (approx 300W per channel into 8ohms)- Head- Myshank 320P diamond- Shank black 7inch.
Playback is SL1200MKII- Shure M44-7- NI Z2 mixer/ interface- Ableton.

Highpass & Lowpass with Correction EQ to flatten response.
(The cut that I've posted doesn't have any high or lowpass filters on it).

Needs some tweaks, need to push the level to see what's possible.
I'll have a go at a feedback version with the Wayne Kirkwood boards.

good job ! lot soprano! so they should be recorded vinyls. I also processed some my head, twice a day, or three, until it begins by cutting correctly, already I burned a lot of speakers, ...
