you aint gonna believe this / presto record lathes
WAHOO !!! i leave Friday morning for new york to pick up 4 record lathes. a complete presto 6n with five feed screws and the original amplifier, a presto j-5, a presto k-10 and a presto k-11. all of the machines are complete and in a private collection. i traded a 1916 edison amberola 30 cylinder phonograph for all of the presto lathes.
this is going to be a L O N G trip, we are looking at four days round trip, will be stopping at the wayne new jersey phonograph show on sunday for a few hours, then off to new york to pick up the lathes and drop off the edison machine. i will post videos when we return of all of the machines, evidently they are or were working before being put on display in a private collection. no idea of their condition except they are all complete and original, none of them have been touched or mucked with.
i have been looking for a disc lathe for the last few years and to find 4 of them in one place for a simple trade is really unbelievable, i am STOKED no doubt. this is going to be an interesting trip and hopefully i can get these up and running, will post more about this when i get back, leave friday morning and pick up the lathes sunday afternoon...

I also have a K11, and I'm in Eugene too. That's a rare one. Totally functional and rebuilt.Gridlock wrote:K11 are so cool
