MSS Type CLED/3/3-Manual
Hi Trolls,
I don't know if this is posted elswhere on the Forum, however, if not, some MSS Lathe Owners may find this Manual of Use:- Looking at both the Photo, and the Illustration within the PDF I think it's for a Lathe Type similar to this :- Regards

Re: MSS Type CLED/3/3-Manual
I have a copy of the earlier version of this which came with the modified Ferrograph Tape Decks as the source to drive the cutter amplifier and head somewhere but about to move so no idea where it is right now, somewhere safe not seen it in ages though. I think the manual I have is for the two speed version it is pre LP era but definitely post WWII. When Cecil Watts was still at the helm he was forced off his own board and corporation after GPO took it over during the war and over extended the credit to keep the BBC supplied in acetate master discs.
Not sure that he had any hand in this model as it may be after he left but not a lot of difference in the models over time only slight modifications such as microgroove and associated speed additions as well as RIAA post 1955. The manual I have covers the electronics that drive the cutter head as well, I assume then that there was a manual for the control electronics and another for the lathe part?

Hi There Stevie342000,
Regards Soulbear
I think your'e probably correct about the Control and Lathe Electronics Manuals being separate, but I don't have any other copies of MSS related stuff. Truth to tell, I honestly can't remember where in the world I managed to download this from. I think I tracked it down when trying to do some research, in the course of my own MSS Lathe Ownership Misadventures!! Won't be doing that again in a hurry Te He!Stevie342000 wrote: I assume then that there was a manual for the control electronics and another for the lathe part?
