Hey Pondapolar one question for you thanks : I am lloking for a good solution for a stylus / needle for vanrock. Try to cut with a diamond stylus, good results but very small life of the needle. Now I find on ebay a guy that sell tungsten and 3 angle presto type needle for embossing. What do you use now? Thanks friend for help.

i use the embossing cones from a fellow troll i actually need to get more ... spray down the makrolon blank with a little Mr Sheen and cut (emboss) away... for a lathe cut, its quite good... lows are a bit muddy and because of the freq range of the head ... its obviously not hi fi at all but for bands that want some tour merch... its great!

Is there anyone willing to sell one of these machines? I seem to just miss it when one becomes available or don't have the ridiculous amount the person is asking for it at that exact moment. Trying to get the one machine I desire the most, seems to be the furthest and the least attainable goal I have set for myself since I started researching Record Cutting. It's very discouraging..

Hey pandapolar where do you find the embossing cones that you write? I try to cut with 3 angle type presto needles and also with tungsten but with very bad results. try to prepare surface with turtle wax and also with lighter fluid without difference. I don't know if the problem is the dics that are too hard. I would like to make flexis and try to cut standard pvc sheets for binding covers ( of fellowes) but nothing. Polycharbonate I think is a good solution but the min. thickness is 0,75-1,00 mmm .
