Lacquer Box Sources

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Does anyone know where the white Apollo style lacquer boxes with the inserts are coming from. I've seen them being used by a few different cutters, but I'm having a hard time tracking them down. Before I start cold calling engineers, I figured I'd ask here. Also may be useful info for others.

You can get lacquer boxes from a company called ProTape (they are fun to assemble).

The ones you sometimes see with Apollo or Transco written on them are dub boxes, and are not made any more AFAIK.
