Would creating a record with one closed loop be feasible?

Anything goes! Inventors! Artists! Cutting edge solutions to old problems. But also non-commercial usage of record cutting. Cost- effective, cost-ineffective, nutso, brilliant, terribly fabulous and sometimes fabulously terrible ideas.

Would creating a record with one closed loop be feasible?

I'm working on a project that requires us to play a vinyl record for a long period of time, but that record will be enclosed in a transparent box that we cannot open. i.e we can't manually reset the needle for continuous playback.
To workaround resetting the needle, and since the sound that comes out from that record can be a simple repeated tone, we are planning to create a record with one closed circular loop that holds the sample/tone to be repeated.
I've never seen anything similar before so I'm wondering if it's actually feasible or if there are some details that I'm missing.
Would love to hear the opinions of experts!
Also feel free to let me know if there's any detail that I missed to share that might help clarify the above post!!
Thank you in advance! :)

you seem to be describing a locked groove, which is very possible and in fact pretty common. anybody offering lathe cuts will be able to do this for you.
