Who can produce stampers from 14" plastic masters

Once you have cut a master laquer, you have metal stampers created and have records pressed from them. Discuss manufacturing here. (Record Matrix Electroforming- Plating, Vinyl Record Pressing.)

Hey! Randmuzik did it in the past. You can try there. Happy cutting!

Great! How were the results? Is it something worth pursuing in your opinion?

The work we did was testing for an archival project of some very old (100+ years) metalwork. To avoid the risk damaging the irreplaceable audio an epoxy relief was made of the metalwork and then plated. This epoxy was just one kind of plastic, but I assume it would be the same as a PETG (for example) disc because from our point of view, once the disc is clean the relevant variation from a lacquer is the absence of the aluminium substrate, not necessarily the make-up of the plastic.

It worked well, and we would be able to do it again without much effort now that we have done all the experimentation. But with that being said, we're flat out busy and it's deviation from our normal workflow so certainly not pursuing any work! On the other hand, if there was an impetus to really give it a go at scale then it's doable...
