Rek-o-kut Master Pro model B-5?

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Rek-o-kut Master Pro model B-5?

Hi, I just acquired a Rek-o-kut Master Pro B-5 overhead cutting arm, and I can't find any information on it. It looks similar to but not exactly like an M-5S. Does anyone know anything about this model? It doesn't have a cutter head, but is otherwise in good shape. I'd love to get a manual for it, I'm a novice and I have to admit some of the adjustment mechanisms on it have me baffled!

Also, does anyone have any recommendations for what kind of turntable to mount it on? It's a 16" arm, I do have a 16" platter but I don't think I have a turntable with a powerful enough motor and drive mechanism to use.

Thanks,

Mark
