what is chemical use for coating diamond stylus?

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). i see on website, he sell used stylus and explain to coated, I'm doubt what is chemical to use for coating on stylus?

Nobody coats a sylus. They are cleaned with Acetone.

While cutting with heating wire, you can get bits of lacquer fused to the stylus. A very used stylus will have some lacquer bonded to it inevitably. Possibly that is what they are talking about?

He means it has a heating coil cemented to it. He isn't saying it is coated with any other substance.

hmm, to me it looks/reads like it is coated/beschichtet
but who knows.. souri is the most secret of all lathetrolls
Wanted: ANYTHING ORTOFON related to cutting...thx
