heating coil

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

The heating wire on my neumann 320 stylus was broken. And I want to made new heating coil. What material from domestic environment I can use for this? I think may be used heating wire from soldering-iron, but it's has a high resistance (around 110 ohms) at similar length. It's not good, cause I must to reconstruct my AC adapter. What may be suitable for mounting the coil except dental cement?
