Warped Blanks

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Warped Blanks

Greetings all,

I know this may have been touched upon, but is there any way to make warped blanks completely flat? I've tried using just the heat of the turntable, which is the best method I've found for most issues.
That said, I have some blanks that don't flatten with this method. I've tried using the heat from a table lamp too, which seems to work at first, but then warps back out the second it cools or overheats the machine.

Does anyone know of any other methods to flatten warped records?

Much appreciated!
