Looking to unload a Scully 501 motor in the tub with the pulleys. Located in Los Angeles. Would love for it to go to someone that could put it to use. Any offer is a good offer!

Hey!
Nice project you have there! Good luck with bringing it back to life and hope you find a SP10 in stable good working condition!
Honestly not really interested in the bathtub motor but I'm corious which cutterhead is mounted on there?
Looks like a Grampian or a Cook Mono?

Lukas

Hey thanks for the kind words! I found a technics motor so I think thatll be a worthwhile upgrade. It has a Cook mono cutterhead and matching Cook labs cutting amp which is basically a modified Langevin amp. I may be selling the mono Cook labs head and amp because I have replaced it to cut stereo with a Heaco head and Westrex amps. If you are interested let me know.

do you think it will have enough torque?
I ask because I'm hoping to do the same thing on a recently arrived 501, with an SP10 M2 I already own
I might go for a SP10 M3, but... well, the money
please let me know what you think
thanks_M

Hi Eric,

I am from Boston, MA and we might have spoken when I was selling my scully lathe. Do you still have this motor for sale?

Thank you, /R
