It's been over a decade since I put the feelers out for lathe parts locally but the itch has never gone away. I'm still keen to add embossing records to my ever-growing list of hobbies.
Before I go down the DIY route, and it's something I've been looking into very seriously, specifically 3D printing and machining a 1D clone to begin with. I thought I would put this out there again in the off chance someone was thinking about moving some gear on.
I'm keen to find a complete lathe to start experimenting with.
I'm looking for something along the lines of a Presto/Rek-O-Kut, a prosumer "instantaneous recording" type unit.
Probably more interested in a machine with an overarm rather than a pivot arm setup though we all know what they say about beggars....
A mono head would be more than adequate for my needs.
I'm located in Perth, Western Australia, so I'm miles from everywhere, therefore I'm probably only interested in units currently in Australia. If you know anything, or see anything please let me know
