This is the plant I have been alluding to for nearly a year now. The plant is equipped with Alpha Toolex and SMT automatic presses, Finebilt manual presses and Europa galvanics. It's a shame the article only shows an SMT press as the Toolex presses have all been upgraded with PLCs in what can only be described as a work of art. Any Americans who feel they must have their records pressed on Toolex presses can now do it locally. These guys are serious and doing it properly. Good luck to them!

I just heard a test pressing from them and it blew me away. I thought I was listening to a tape.

I just got my copy of Cat Stevens - Tea For The Tillerman from my favourite record store (Quality Records in Melbourne, Australia).

The pressing quality is phenomenal. Zero audible surface noise, no ticks/pops.

In comparing the vinyl to the original UK Island Records vinyl from 1970 (ILPS 9135), the difference is chalk and cheese. One can hear so many details not present in the earlier vinyl. A testament to some fine mastering work by George Marino and excellent plating/pressing by these guys.

I will be keeping an eye on their releases (Billie Holliday et al all forthcoming), much the same as i already do with Speakers Corner and a few other similar labels.

PS: if anyone here in interested in classical music on vinyl, the latest Deutsche Grammophon release "Ingolf Wunder - Chopin Recital" is fantastic. It was mastered and pressed by Record Industry in Holland. The sound quality is second to none. 2x 180G LPs.
