hallo trolls!

the next series of diamond styli are available...

these where made from white quality industry diamonds by a highly specialised company near to our pressing plant. (btw: please don't contact them directly just send a mail to us...)

we have been testing them now quite a while with success...

BUT i have to say: it is really just for experienced cutters,
these styli are super fragile (even if it is the hardest material on the planet)...they can break easily just by touching them with your fingers.

theoretically (and practically) you should be able to cut copper, PVC and PC with it...we tried Lexan (and you will get some free blanks with the stylus if you like) and Makrolon with ease...surface noise is a bit higher than with acetates (but well below under pressed records) and chip is clean and stable...

the cutting side needs to point directly against the cutting material
that is a cutting angle of 0°

suitable for neumann and sc99 heads...

incl. heating wire (for experimental use only...)

feel free to send a mail if you are interested

stay fresh

p.s. we don't want to compete with other peoples styli on this forum
so if you have good experience with those stick with them...
but we developed this already quite a time ago so we thought it would be nice to share it with you as they will finally be available from stock (hopefully) anytime now

Hey Mart
Have you had success with Lacquers with these styli?
If you had success does the chip gets sucked away as normal?
I note you mentioned that the surface noise is higher
Questions:
1.Was ther any lacquers cut with heat
2.Was there a comparisson done with and without heat

Itll be good to have your feedback
Cheers
