Souri never told me to NOT have the Technics motor running at all.

This post has confused me a bit as I run the technics motor AND Souri motor together at same time?

Should I not be doing this? My cuts are fine and I figure that a Technics 1210 gets cut and scratched up by Dj's and can handle that? So why cant it handle a motor pulling it a bit faster??

Both the external motor and the 1210 motor is running here - adjusted just like the manual.

I'd follow SueDenim if I was you,
When I received my brand new motor, all the pins were all unsoldered inside the box ... maybe shipping... maybe a bad soldering job... I don't know.

I also changed the spindle and for me it worked... It was making it flutter a little even with the motor

Thanks. I hear what you are saying and will open the box at some point, but for now it seems to be related to the 1210, as the problems where also there before. I seem to be able to set the correct speed now - maybe I have just massaged it enough to work. My main problem now is the flutter, and as you can see in the video below the dots, the platter is moving slightly up and down, which correlates to the speed variations.

I replaced the bearing with a new and modified one, and even added wax below. This seems to have improved stability a bit, but not enough. I guess my next step is replacing the platter.

Thanks. This was one of the guides I was following. And while it did help a bit, it did not completely eliminate the speed variations. A new platter is on the way in the mail for me.

Solution found:

A new bearing and a new platter seemed to do the job. My RPM app on the phone measures 0.11% wow and flutter, and it is not really noticable when the music is playing.
