Hi!
Today I started cutting with a new stylus, however I'm getting some strange noise, almost like a squeaking sound in the right channel and a bit of distortion in the left and cant seem to trouble shoot it. My old stylus is worn out and this is a brand new one but never had this noise happen before? If anyone can help let me know and I can send a link to a recording of the audio in a PM just in case its something someone with experience can ID, any help would be massively appreciated. I'm cutting on a T560 with a new stylus from Souri.
Thanks!
Weird 'squeaky' sound in sides?

Re: Weird 'squeaky' sound in sides?
Your stylus can get broken on your first cut
Did you put it down too hard?
Did you set-up the 45gram counterweight with the stylus taking the force?
Are you using too much stylus heat - getting melted plastic on the cutting surface?
Did you examine the stylus carefully BEFORE you put it in the head?
You really should make sure there are no defects before you use it
Anyways, you need to look closely at the stylus under at least 40x magnification.
Is there a defect?
(from your description I think it's probably a defect)
Is there melted plastic on cutting facets/edges messing up the groove?
Good luck!
