Hello all, my name is Raffaello from Italy.
Actually I am working for modify my Poltz Freres with my Pierre Clement head.
The lathe is altready working, but the head isn't to top as sound. You can see my photos inside the forum of my machine.
I am happy to belong to this forum. For me is a great resource, if I am inside from about 7 years. I think that is the only forum that speak about the cutting machines and all rest of this wonderful world, so long live vinyl !
Greetings.

Hi,
germany, 42 years of age, vinylfetischist since 14.
lurking at this forum for about 3 years now.
after pressing a records and cutting vinyl at my friends house, a T560 vinylrecorder got passed to me.
so no support or gettin any cutting material, yall know the game. but the reason why i took this machine anyway was lathetrolls, you kind guys, all those endless helptopics and support for this machine.
thank you very much for that,
yo The Shank, where you at?! his loss is your gain. :p
cheers,
crates

I am Shawn Borri a constant annoyance to the phonograph collector community. I like to learn about recording, on various formats. I make blank cylinders, and have an original professional studio recording head, used to make original master cylinders, possibly from Edison's studio.

Hello from Austin, TX!
I'm new to the board, and record cutting is super new to me. I've been collecting records since I was roughly 13 - since I first started going to punk rock shows.
I'm looking to build a setup to cut my own records!

Hi!
I have been lurking for awhile now... preparing to restore a Scully lathe and purchase new presses in the next few months. Glad to hear any advice available..

Lurking... lol Hello all!
Re: Lurkers' thread. Say hi once, OK?
Hey everyone!
I'm steadily gathering parts and knowledge to build a DIY lathe. I plan to post my progress when it really gets going. Thanks so much for everyone's input to the forum. Just wanted to say Hi as I definitely don't want to get zapped.

Hey guys! I just registered and will only be lurking until... I may find courage to start a DIY lathe project. I'm already very interested in the topic though
Cheers!

Hello Cutters!
I have started cutting and it is a gas.
Seriously, I found a VanRock 101 in Japan and shipped it to Perth where I live. I would have started cutting last year but needed to get the blanks and documents.
Just started cutting and should shortly have something to talk about.
In the mean time, the info here has been invaluable. Thank you all!
