Mike Dixon is a good bet at Record Lathe Parts for a Presto, upgrade to a stereo cutter head and you would be good, all for under 9k too

Unfortunately, a fully restored presto with stereo cutterhead and all necessary diamond cutting mods no longer comes in under $9k. It has been a few years since that was the case.

If you want mono embossing, absolutely no problem. Diamond and stereo just requires so much extra oomph. Suction, dashpot, heater, etc etc

And prices on broken farm fresh straight outta grampas basement lathes keep going up, as do the cost of materials and manufacturing of parts.

Ah I meant 9k as in GBP not USD, apologies!

Sorry Mike, we had nothing against you, rather a lot of respect for your expertise. But we have talked to you for 6 years on countless occasions. Considering that the currency in Arizona is the Dollar, considering what PRESTO's are, and considering the % of inflation. the price increases you have raised do not make sense. And although our approach has been innocent and genuine, and although we have 10 Dollars available to buy, we feel that you do not want to sell to us, probably because WE ARE South American. Which, ironically, despite your own very bad impression of Souri, makes me see him as a character with similarities. Sadly.
But don't worry, barriers always drive new connections and creativity. So his refusal led us to new horizons. We found an excellent supplier, in Europe with new machines that everyone here will soon be hearing about. I hope you won't be stuck with your stock for long.
By the way, we are not of left-wing philosophy, but we think that Monopolies usually do not bring fair things.

Look on eBay. Search "record cutting lathe" and save the search. Save other searches like "record cutting head", etc. Then check your feed daily. : )
