label cutter
Hey everyone,
looking for recommendations for a label cutter or a method to create one. I’m hoping to find a tool that can cut both the center hole and outer circle of a record label simultaneously for use with printed sticker sheets. Any advice or experience with this would be greatly appreciated.
I’ve looked into options and found some tools designed for leather, but nothing specific for record labels. I’ve attached an image of what I imagine the tool would look like.
Aalso know some copy centers offer custom cutters, but I’m unsure if they can create a tool that punches both holes, any experience with these?
Thanks in advance for any help!

I use a leather hole punch for center sometimes.
You can buy any size hole punch like 3' and 4' circle punches you can get at any art store or amazon.
also a cnc machine and drag knife is another way to skin a cat.
The best result is to buy a plotter/cutter like a Roland bn20. (most expensive)
any local print shop or online service can easily make you die cut center stickers.
printing on precut label sheets is the cheapest easiest diy solution. (cheep printer + ink + label sheets)

Re: label cutter
We sell die cut sheets for all disc sizes from the UK, as does Record Lathe Parts in the US.
To do it yourself maybe a small plotter like a Silhouette Portrait will do the job for what you need.

Re: label cutter
thanks for the tips guys! i do have access to die cut blank sheets but i want to start doing them on my own, also think it would be easier to print on a blank sticker sheet and then use the cutter to make my custom labels.
Re: label cutter
Another idea is to mount a "drag knife" tool on a head of a CNC machine, or maybe a 3D printer, and make it work as a single layer print, just dragging the knife once over the sticker paper surface, at the right height.. should be doable.

Excellent suggestion Boryo! Curious, what color printer are you using with it?

cannon pixma g640. if you have the plotter you DONT need borderless printing
Re: label cutter
Those cutting/cnc machines look great but in my case, just for cutting labels don’t think its worth it, maybe in the future, or if you could cut covers that would be great!
