Been on the lathe trolls for many years. Was a moderator years ago.

I can now now offer a small service to the community for 2025.

As of today, I’ve started to reproducing the Presto microscope arm, which is a rare beast if you don’t have one.

The first batch should be ready in the next four weeks.

Depending on what you want, I can modify to have a modern microscope fitted like the ones from China that you see with the screen, but it’s really up to you. I can also add a microscope of your choice. This will depend on what you have already.

You could probably fit the arm to all sorts of lathes to be fair.

Wanna say a MASSIVE thank you to Simon who recently rebuilt and recoiled my Pierre Clément M2 head in which he fabricated a new part which was needed and provided detailed photo/video updates along the way. I sent Simon my head on Monday and he received it next day and by Saturday 10am my head was back at home.

Simon was even so patience and curtious enough to provide me with additional help and advice on a few things that I'm struggling with which I highly appreciate. I'm just so gald that now there is a go to person in the UK instead of sending stuff aborad which can be a pain.

Will definitely be in contact with Simon again and more than happy to refer his services to any other UK based cutters needing repairs/mods done.
