analyising the thread
hey guys
does anyone know what it means when the thread turns a bit greyish? i thought when its black it was not a good cut and the stylus was in the same groove.. when its shiny its nice and when its grey? what do you think can be the issue? it seems to appear randomly for me.. i attached a picture, only using og blanks from souri
you can see on the picture, some part is greyish while the rest looks good, all the records cut play fine (no jumps, clicks, etc) and sound good to my ears
interesting to find out

Edit:
Somehow one side on a disc comes out this greyish while the other is like always, again no sound issues whatsoever

If you cut too deep you can get into souris core black layer which will cause this.
