Hi all! Just want to warn you. I was in touch with a guy in Sweden and wanted to buy his Vestax and he only asked for 1000 euros. He said he was located in Sweden and sold because of kids, then in a second he was in England and wanted to make a deal fast. I asked him about phone numbers to friends in Sweden, some words in Swedish and about locations and he just got lost in space. Then I search the internet and found same picture + same text all translated in google.com language tool.

He go under different names and seem to sell everywhere so if you get an offer on a VRX 2000 for around 1000 euro and he have a very bad language AVOID!

Maybe it helps someone to get ripped!

Thanks for posting this information.

Goes to show that you must make full enquiries before sending any money to anyone. And never use instant cash payment services such as Western Union or Moneygram - you can never get your cash back with these services. Once the cash is handed over to the seller, the money is gone forever.

Today he advertises a Vestax for sale, tomorrow something else.

Yeah I know. The thing is that he didn't ask for money in advance. He asked to use a shipping company with cash on delivery. The thing is that he would have sent me a stone then =)

The company in Sweden that he had the add at removed it once after their own investigation so I know it was not only my own "conclusion".

Vinlyomaniac, this wouldn't have helped you, since you saw your ad elsewhere.... but for the benefit of trying to discourage scammers on this forum, maybe we should ask Steve to specifically add a rule to this forum "Classified" section, that if you're selling an item for more than "X" dollars, you need to post a picture of the actual item you're selling (not a stock photo)?

Would indeed be a good idea.
Also maybe with a newspaper with a fresh date beside the machine?

  I like the way you think! Yes, why not? (at least for people who aren't regular forum members we know & trust, like mossboss or andybee)
