Semar choice 😁🔥

Anything goes! Inventors! Artists! Cutting edge solutions to old problems. But also non-commercial usage of record cutting. Cost- effective, cost-ineffective, nutso, brilliant, terribly fabulous and sometimes fabulously terrible ideas.

Hello cutters !

Yesterday, i ve re-mapped my head with natural phase

So third picture the eq i first made a few times in zero latency

In second, the on I made yesterday, polycarbonate, louder power to the head and a lighter stylus
It seems to be very similar, a little bit slided to the right

And in first picture very interesting for me, i ve tried (at this time) to make a second iteration but the results was very weird
i retry yesterday and the result looks at a little bit as a riaa curve
I ve now to try it with music and perhaps make a 3rd iteration but interesting...

A small donation made just now, because I am not rich but involved, not a donation TO GET A FAVOR, a donation for the community, if the troll thinks he has trolled, let him be satisfied in realizing that his name does not appear, that generosity and kindness have no label, ego is useless....

That sounds pretty good. Of course, it doesn't come across as clearly through the phone's microphone. Even so, you can already hear a good dynamic range. Perhaps you could record an album and upload the recording here?

Anyway, you're making good progress. Keep going, keep going, keep going, keep going... :D :D

Sapphire sounds good (embedding). You want to improve, that sounds excellent. But don't forget the 20:80 rule!
A 20% improvement costs 80% more time and money.
All the best for the future.

I have some pre-cut sapphires that I got at a very good price, and I'm going to try mounting them on aluminum stems. Then I'll need to refine and polish the cone. Has anyone ever tried this kind of thing?

So, I'm thinking of doing a hybrid collage/bezel method, but in reverse. I'll share all my experiments and methods here—it's a brilliant open source.

The idea is to drill a hole in the end of the aluminum rod to the diameter of the sapphire (0.8mm), then glue it in place, point upwards of course, and finally fold the edges of the aluminum over the sapphire and possibly add more glue to ensure strength...

Finally, the machining and polishing of the sapphire cone will begin, followed by cutting the stylus to the correct length. After that, everything will be fine 🤣🤣🤣🤣

A brief overview of what I've been doing:

1. I manufactured a 0.7 x 0.7 mm die using wire EDM.

2. I pre-drilled the diamond tip's recess (1:20 taper).

3. I created a square hole using the die.

Wish me luck! Tomorrow I'll attempt the assembly: an aluminum-iron alloy rod, a sapphire crystal, then a silent cut test. If it works for tracking, I'll redo the mapping.

P.S.: I said open source, so the aluminum-iron alloy rod is a bicycle wheel spoke; it's very light and very hard. I don't know if it will work, but I'm sharing my experiences.
